A Quick NBA Live Video Game Review For The PlayStation Or Xbox

This is a quick NBA Live game review for PlayStation and Xbox. NBA Live is one of Electronic Art's most well known console games. Every year, several sports games are released however NBA Live's annual edition always ends up being among the most popular. The latest version is no different, with its high tech graphics, new jerseys, and resolution, this final edition of NBA Live has garnered very positive reviews.

NBA Live 10 has bonus jerseys, a very first for these games. Vintage jerseys from the 80s and 90s were included as well as numerous alternate uniforms for many of NBA teams. Using bonus codes, even more jerseys and throwback shoes can be used. It is questionable if every NBA team will get new game uniforms but two bonus codes have been unlocked so far and more are probably coming.

The animations in this version received a major overhaul too. The video game boasts faster and more fluid graphics that allow for ultimate play. Details like the in game graphics and basketball courts were made to appear extremely real. It is a little grainy when zoomed in on some screens but overall looks very well.

The players, the background, and other smaller graphics are also more detailed. This year's game has a more realistic background, unlike the previous installments. Crowd members were designed to look and sound more lifelike and real. The players themselves were made with more personal and exact details such as personal accessories, hairstyles, and tattoos. The stars in this year's edition were made to be easily recognizable than previous ones.

The game's controls were altered slightly so that it isn't necessary to control the players one hundred percent of the time. Using this auto mode can result in more turnovers though. For those who want to, it is quite possible to expand the control over the players.

The game play is simple enough so that even people who have never played a basketball game can quickly get the hang of it. Actions like shooting and passing are both single button functions. And both the Xbox and PlayStation controllers use the right joy stick to move the basketball players. Playing defense is simple as well, simply position your player near one from the other team and he will do the rest automatically. The update of the player DNA system from past games has significantly improved as well. The 2010 edition's DNA updates individual player's tendencies and attributes almost instantly. This year's game will also allow users to play real games almost as they happen in the real world. And with the NBA team's rosters and line ups updating instantly in the game, it makes for a much improved Dynasty Mode as well.

This games's soundtrack was improved and changed to include more modern singers and groups. This year's game has a lot more tracks, which significantly cuts back on the repetition of songs during the dynasty mode and games. The tracks were even programmed to react to the tempo of the games to get the user more involved.

Playstation 3 Slim Should Support 3D Blu-ray

I just hit my head on the ceiling after reading this: The Blu-ray Disc Association has announced that the Playstation 3 will likely be fully compatible with 3D standards. It is incredible news for PS3 owners, who will likely not have to shell out money for a brand new player for 3D movies. According for your newly-released specs, Sony's console will play movement pictures in 3D 1080p, though working with any and every type of 3D display. That consists of LCD, plasma and projection in complete HD, whilst enabling for 2D playback on both current and 3D players. Adding for that fun will most likely be 3D menus and navigation, giving PS3 owners the complete futuristic knowledge. The crazier element is that most existing Blu-ray players won't assist 3D. That means your buddy's standalone Blu-ray player are planning to be useless, while you are going to enjoy Playstation 3 games and 3D movies on your exisiting console. It's confident to piss off individuals proprietors but you won't hear me complaining. Certainly you may still require to buy a Television to assist the 3D capability, but hey, half the battle has alreadybeen won. There's no release date for 3D movies yet, but further announcements are specified to follow. In the meantime, PS3 proprietors can rest easy and appear forward towards future of watching 3D films with their console. It also adds bragging rights for the PS3-Xbox 360 debate and gives present Blu-ray owners some thing to whine about. So, PS3 owners... Excited? And knowing this, will you buy a Tv to assist 3D films?
